My Bookstagram Accounts | #BOOKBLOGGERHOP (June 29-July 5)

Since last week was my turn for the BBH question, we'll return to our regularly scheduled programming with someone else's turn this week.

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week's question submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews:
Do you have an Instagram account? If so, do you only follow book folks?

#T5W TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Books I Want to Read Before the End of the Year

For those who don't know what Top 5 Wednesday is, it's a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week's entry describes our top 5 favorite fandom items.

This week's topic: Books You Want to Read Before the End of the Year

TOP 5 Summer Reads for Fun in the Sun | TOP 5 TUESDAY

I thought I'd try something different for Tuesdays, since I haven't done Top Ten Tuesday in awhile. I've always felt somewhat guilty for not being able to come up with 10 books per prompt post, so I saw Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by Bionic BookWorm. I think this prompt will be easier for me, as someone who doesn't read that often anymore. It's less of a struggle to come up with 5, as opposed to 10.

However, if a T5T post isn't up my alley, I'll gladly return to a TTT post for the week. Just to switch it up!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in July – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!

This week's first topic: Top 5 summer time reads!

#BOOKBLOGGERHOP (June 22-28): My Turn!!

After participating in Book Blogger Hop for over a year, I finally got to ask my own question! I can't wait to see everyone's answers, especially my BBH buddies and new members.

This week's question submitted by ME!
For all of you worker bees out there! How do you balance having a day job/career and managing your blog at night? Is it hard or easy to do, and what do people in your work life think of your blogs?

It would be really weird to answer my own question, so I'm going to blog-surf the other blogs to see their answers. But if you want to answer anyways, comment below!

#IHeartCharacters Meme #2: Grumpy Characters Need Love Too!

In case the title of this post didn't catch your attention, my new friend and name-twin, Dani from Perspective of a Writer, has created a new weekly meme to share our favorite characters.

I Heart Characters! is a weekly meme hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer to showcase our book blogger love for characters! Each week she’ll supply a topic and you’ll supply the character. Post on whatever day suits you, about characters from whatever media you love (books, movies, K-dramas, television, manga, anime, webtoons, whatever!) and link up on Thursday so YOU and others can blog hop and share the character love. ♡
This week's topic is  A Grump with a Heart of Gold (Characters with rude or disgruntled personalities deserve love too… especially if they thaw towards the MC, eventually.)

#T5W TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Favorite Fathers/Father Figures

For those who don't know what Top 5 Wednesday is, it's a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week's entry describes our top 5 favorite fandom items.

Since Sam had a busy month in May, we're back to our regularly scheduled programming with all-new topics this month.

This week's topic: Favorite Father Figures

Summertime in Texas, Anxiety, Graduations, New Memes and More | MAY 2018 WRAP-UP

In Real Life (IRL)

My May was pretty uneventful up until the end of the month. My sister and her fiancé went back home to Texas, she had her baby girl, and now she's home! Both my sister and the baby are still adjusting to home life, especially with her two older daughters still living at home. My mom and I paid them a visit later in the month to see my younger niece graduate from high school, and even then was a lot of family drama. I know that it's typical for family to have a lot of drama, but in mine, it's just piles on top of each other until it bursts open. And meanwhile, my anxiety rides up because I don't know whether or not to speak up or let them fight each other until they get tired. Oftentimes, I just stay quiet because I internalize everything, so I feel like I have no choice but to just listen. And it hurts me the most because I hate seeing people I love hurting over stupid drama.

TOP TEN TUESDAY #46: Why it’s important to DNF Books | My DNF “Policy”

Formerly hosted by Jamie, Jana and Lauren of BrokeandBookish.com, Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly book meme that presents top ten lists on Tuesdays that promotes favorite bookish themes. Since BrokeandBookish.com had officially shut down in January 2018, Jana from ThatArtsyReaderGirl has offered to continue the series on her blog.

How it works:

I assign each Tuesday a topic and then post my top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join me and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

This week's topic: Books I decided to DNF (did not finish) too Quickly (are you questioning your DNF choices on any books? If you have a policy to not DNF, put a spin on the topic to make it fit you.)

#BOOKBLOGGERHOP (June 1-7): What My Blog Says About Me

I'm currently on vacation in Texas with my family celebrating my second niece's high school graduation, so this post is technically early! Nevertheless, I'm still here with another new post. This week, we're discussing what my blog says about me.

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

What do you think your blog says about you?
